Facebook the most popular social media platform for marketers

Booz & Co have teamed up with Buddy Media this week to produce a report getting under the hood of social media.  The report attempts to answer questions such as

  • What social platforms are brands investing in the most?
  • How many companies have a senior executive solely dedicated social?
  • What social media metrics are most important to brands?

1. Facebook is king

Facebook is far and away the most popular platform for use by marketers, followed by Twitter, then YouTube.

2. Few have a senior exec responsible for social media

The report found that just 35% of organisations have a senior executive who is responsible for social media.

3. Not many CEOs know about social media

The report revealed that just 38% of company chief executives know about social media and their companies attempts at engaging with it.
