Could Orange get customer service so wrong?

For some reason I’ve always found using the Orange website a turgid experience.  They seemed to hit a new low though this evening.  I’ve been trying to update the address they have on record for me as I’m moving house tomorrow.  You’d think an easy enough thing to do.

I took to the Orange website, logged into my account, found my address in their postcode finder and clicked the update button.

Broken Orange website (again)

Ok, so the website isn’t working.  I’m sadly all to used to that from Orange, so try the email contact form they suggest as an alternative.  Send off my request for address update to the email address suggested by Orange, only to get this back from them a few minutes later.

Orange email screwup

Seriously, is it that difficult to operate a basic customer support facility?  Currently trying to get help via their Twitter account.  Shall report back on progress.

  1. Sad that such a big company gets such basic things wrong. I mean these are things an amateur can get right straight out of the box.

    • Baffling isn't it? Such a simple thing. I had a reply when I tweeted them

Hi @adigaskell , we’re sorry to hear about that, don’t hesitate to ask @orangehelpers for advice and tips. Hope it helps cc @Orange

I've so far received no help or advice from @orangehelpers, despite tweeting them direct. Absolutely hopeless.
