2017 Christmas Lectures – Part 3 (A World Without Mind)

Whilst automation has been a huge topic of discussion this year, another key topic for me has been the way technology has changed how we think and behave.  Smartphones are increasingly potent at demanding our attention, whilst social networks have helped spread misinformation that distorts our decision making.

So my final lecture of this festive period covers the impact Amazon, Facebook, Apple and Google are having on society, and particularly the way we think and act.  It’s delivered by journalist Franklin Foer to the RSA, and is based upon his recent book A World Without Mind.
