Inbound marketing is one of the primary tasks for online marketers. A new report highlighted recently in eMarketer suggests that marketing agencies find blogs the most valuable means of conducting inbound marketing.
Essentially the research is showing that marketing managers are sick to death of being pitched at by agencies and would much rather pull in information as they need it from those agencies.
So the message would appear to be clear. If you're an agency, the best way of promoting your knowledge is to get out there and blog about it. Blog about it until you are the unrivalled thought leader in your category, and that shall be the path to riches for you.
Seems a bit like not hiring a online agency that doesn't have a good search ranking or a good social media presence. If they can't do it themselves then how do they expect to convince people that they can do it for you.
