I came across the Do Lectures this morning. They originate from a farm in Wales, and whilst TED focuses on big ideas, the Do Lectures brand themselves as inspiring us to actually do something. Here's how they describe themselves on their 'about page'
The idea is a simple one— that people who Do things can inspire the rest of us to go and Do things, too. So each year we invite a set of people down here to come and tell us what they Do.
Anyway, here's one of their videos to give you an idea. It sees a talk on the future of the book in our era of iPads and Kindles.
Looks kinda cool. Worth keeping an eye on.
