Find your latest links

Getting good quality links is still a fundamental part of any good SEO strategy, so being able to monitor the back links to your site is very useful indeed.  Google Webmaster Tools have added a new feature recently that lets you find out the latest links to your site.

The new feature allows you to download all of your links into a spreadsheet, where you can then sort the links by date.  The feature was announced by Matt Cutts on his Twitter account.

Googler, John Mueller, shared a screen shot of the new button:

You then get a two column spreadsheet, with the url of the page linking to you in the first column, and the date in the second.  Overall it's a nice feature as it'll allow you to easily see your latest acquired links, which will be vital if you're getting serious about your link building.

  1. Surely this is simply telling Google that you're a link builder? No one else is going to be interested in this report.
