Why do we collaborate?

collaboration_591Collaboration is a pretty huge topic at the moment, and NPR have got a collaboration extravaganza for your listening pleasure.  Their TED hour features some of the foremost thinkers in the field of collaboration, including Clay Shirky and Jimmy Wales.

It looks at topics such as why Wikipedia works, and the motivations behind collaborating.  If you have an hour spare and want to learn more about collaboration, I thoroughly recommend it.
Here’s the blurb:

In this hour, TED speakers unravel ideas behind the mystery of mass collaborations that build a better world.
