Ok, so it’s Christmas eve, which depending on which part of the world you’re living in may be the focal point of the holiday season or may be the aperitif to the big day tomorrow. Either way, the final lecture in this series of social business inspired lectures is kinda Christmas themed.
Not in the Coca Cola and Disney style version of Christmas that seems over-run by commercial intent, but rather the spiritual core of Christmas as a time to give to others. It’s supplied by Wharton professor Adam Grant, and he talks about the importance of being unselfish at work (and in life in general).
Suffice to say, in an attempt to build a social and collaborative workplace, having employees willing and able to help and support their peers is a very attractive trait to develop. If you’d like to get a more in depth look at Grant’s philosophy, his book Give and Take is an excellent read.
Anyway, here’s the video. I hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful Christmas. Oh, as a ps, the video kinda misses out some of the slides Grant refers to. You can access those here.
I've really enjoyed these videos Adi, thanks for sharing.
