Nike's Twitter ad campaign banned – Technorati

Earlier this year a Snickers campaign on Twitter was ok'd because they had used the #spon hashtag.  This was deemed enough to alert users that these were sponsored tweets.  Nike fell foul of this philosophy recently because their sponsored tweets from Wayne Rooney were not tagged in any way.  The message seems clear, if you sponsor tweets, make sure people can tell they're sponsored by tagging them up.

Is Facebook set to launch its own ad network – Technorati

The Facebook IPO has laid bare the challenges they face in growing their income.  Latest reports are that Facebook ads have started appearing on the Zynga website, launching rumours that Facebook are about to unveil their own Adsense style ad network.
