It’s quite common at this time of year to start looking ahead to what we can do better in the coming year. Whether that’s changes to ourselves personally or changes to the organizations we work for.
Central to this therefore is the belief that we can change, that we can grow as people or as organizations.
Stanford’s Carol Dweck is kind of the authority on this topic, and her book Mindset details the way our approach to life can change with a shift in our mindset away from one in which our abilities are fixed towards one where they are more malleable.
It’s a super read and well worth buying/borrowing if you haven’t already read it. You’ll get a taster for what the book is about in the following talk she gave at the TED Conference.
