Bookmark your favourite status updates

Bookmarking has been a feature of the web for pretty much ever, with social bookmarking sites like Delicious adding a social networking element to it all.  Since its inception Twitter has allowed users to favourite tweets, thus making it easy to find them again at a later date.

Facebook however haven't had such functionality, so if you wanted to come back to an update that had piqued your interest it was far from an easy process.  Until now that is.

The network is testing out a new option that will allow you to save a post appearing in your news feed to then come back to it later.  As is common with these things, the feature isn't available to all users yet, but some of you will be seeing a new option to 'save' a story.

I can't see this being all that useful for many status updates, but for those that contain interesting links or multimedia it could be really useful.  For instance you could be browsing your feed on your phone and save a video to be viewed when you get back to your desktop.

It isn't a feature that I've seen on my own feed yet, but you can see screenshots of it below.  It could prove a real boon for Page owners that want to boost engagement with their content.

What do you think of this feature?  Will it be useful to you?
